Your guide will help you choose the right gear before your trip based on weather, water temperature, river conditions, and your comfort level.
Life Jackets
Properly fitted personal flotation devices are provided for every guest.
Helmets
Helmets are provided for whitewater sections where they are required or recommended.
Wetsuits
Farmer John style wetsuits are available when conditions call for extra warmth.
Splash Jackets
Splash jackets help cut wind and spray on cooler days.
River Shoes
River shoes are available so you do not have to wear flip-flops or loose sandals.
Sunglass Retainers
Retainers help keep your sunglasses from disappearing into the Arkansas River.
What To Bring
Quick-Dry Clothing
Wear a swimsuit, synthetic layers, or other quick-dry clothing.
Sunscreen
Colorado sun is strong, even on cooler days.
Dry Clothes
Leave a dry change of clothes and towel in your car for after the trip.
Avoid Cotton
Cotton stays cold when wet. Synthetic or wool layers are a better choice.
