All Monumental Expeditions rafting trips meet at our office inside Chalk Creek Campground & RV Park.
We're located in Nathrop, Colorado, between Buena Vista and Salida and close to the Arkansas River sections we raft.

Nathrop sits right between the two main Arkansas River Valley towns, making Monumental easy to reach from either direction.
FROM BUENA VISTA
Head south on Highway 285 toward Nathrop. Follow the route toward Chalk Creek Campground and County Road 197.
FROM SALIDA
Head north on Highway 285 toward Nathrop. Follow the route toward Chalk Creek Campground and County Road 197.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE?
Once you're here, the rest is easy.
PARK
Park at Chalk Creek Campground near the rafting office.
CHECK IN
Meet the crew, finish check-in, and get organized for your trip.
GEAR UP
We'll fit your PFD and get you whatever river gear the day calls for.
GO RAFTING
From there, we'll handle the river access and trip logistics.

RIGHT AT CAMP
Chalk Creek Campground is more than our meeting point. It's also a convenient home base for an Arkansas River Valley trip.
Tent sites, RV sites, and cabins are available through the campground, and you're close to hot springs, hiking, fishing, Buena Vista, Salida, and the river.
If you're staying here, rafting morning is especially simple. Walk over to our office, get geared up, and head for the water.

Arrive about 30 minutes before your scheduled trip. We'll get your group checked in, geared up, and ready for the Arkansas River.
